PwC invites the nation’s top executives to an evening of reflection, insight, and networking at the top of the Sundt Building in Bergen. The theme of this year’s gathering is clear: Values are shifting faster than ever, and leaders must be prepared.
– This year’s CEO Survey reveals a clear shift: Leaders know they must adapt faster than ever before. Global value shifts are enormous, and this places new demands on how Norwegian companies plan, invest, and take risks. That is why we are bringing top executives together here—to broaden their horizons, share insights, and think innovatively. One Ocean Week is a great arena for this, says Hallvard Aarø, Head of the Markets and Private segment in Norway.
In 2025, assets equivalent to three and a half oil funds were shifted. The pace of change is accelerating, and the gap between those who succeed and those who fall behind is growing ever wider. The event addresses precisely this: What do the best leaders do when the pace of change is high, and what opportunities do they seize?
– The most resilient companies are those that continuously explore new opportunities. Not because they have to, but because they know that the future rewards curiosity, speed, and the ability to reposition themselves in time, says Aarø.
Global Trends and Leadership Experiences
Participants will gain fresh insights from PwC’s CEO Survey, presented by Leif Arne Jensen (PwC). In addition, several Norwegian senior executives will share their experiences and perspectives:
- Hilde Røed, Equinor
- Ståle Rød, Skanska
- Hedda Felin, Hurtigruten
- Monika Inde Zsak, Futurum Ventures
Among other things, they will discuss how artificial intelligence, sustainability, and new business models are shaping strategic direction, and how companies can innovate before the market forces them to do so.
How Magnus Carlsen Found His "Blue Ocean"
Chess expert Torstein Bae will also be participating. He explains how Magnus Carlsen managed to create new markets and opportunities by thinking differently. Bae demonstrates how five tools—used in both chess and business—can help leaders understand, anticipate, and make better decisions. Using examples from large companies, he demonstrates how both successes and bankruptcies make it clear that businesses use and need to use these tools.
Networking, food, and new perspectives
Following the professional session, food and drinks will be served. Participants will have ample time to meet other senior executives from across the country. The organizers emphasize that collaboration and knowledge sharing will be crucial to Norway’s success in the years ahead.
The event has a limited number of seats and is by invitation only.
