When someone creates an event on the One Ocean Week platform, we collect:

This information is collected via a contact form on the website.

5.2 Public publishing

Organizer information (name and contact details) will be published on the One Ocean Week website as part of the event information, allowing participants to contact the organizer directly.

5.3 External enrollment systems

We do not use registration systems ourselves. If an event requires registration or tickets, we refer to the organizer's external website (e.g. Pindena at pameldingssystem.no). These external systems have their own privacy policies for which we are not responsible.

5.4 Statutory disclosures

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of One Ocean, our users, or others.

5.5 International transfers

We do not transfer personal data outside Norway. Although One Ocean Week has international participants, all personal data is processed in Norway.

6. Photography and video recording

One Ocean Week events are public gatherings where photography and video recording takes place.

6.1 Public photography

  • Employees take photos and videos during the events
  • The images and videos are used on the website, social media and in newsletters
  • Since the events take place in a public place, this is considered public photography under Norwegian law
  • We do not obtain consent for photography at public events

6.2 Use of images

Photos and videos are published for:

  • Documentation of One Ocean Week activities
  • Marketing of future events
  • Sharing on social media and in communication materials

If you do not wish to be photographed during a public event, please inform the staff on site. If your image appears in our materials and you wish to have it removed, please contact us. We will consider your request in accordance with applicable law.

  • Organizer forms: Kept indefinitely or until you request deletion.
  • Newsletter subscription: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion
