One Ocean Week is putting the ocean and security on the agenda during Arendalsuka with the event: “The Ocean as a Forum for Cooperation on Security and Stability.”
The event “The Sea as a Forum for Cooperation on Security and Stability” will take place on Tuesday, August 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on the Vestlandsbåten MS Sandnes (Festsal, Langbryggen 20).
Geopolitical tensions and competition for resources are making knowledge about the ocean increasingly important. Marine surveillance, telecommunications, and systematic listening are now crucial for preventing conflict and ensuring responsible management. How can the ocean be strengthened as a global platform for cooperation?
In this discussion, we explore opportunities in the areas of security, research, management, and technology.
