Invest in Vestland participates in the international conference and exhibition Maritime Hybrid, Electric & Hydrogen Fuel Cells, a three-day event that brings together the world's leading experts and players in sustainable shipping.
Taking place 14-16 October in Bergen, the conference will highlight the cutting-edge technologies driving the green transition in the maritime sector, including hybrid propulsion systems, all-electric solutions and hydrogen fuel cells.
With increasingly stringent environmental requirements and global climate targets driving innovation, the event will be a key meeting place to explore solutions that can help decarbonize shipping.
A testing ground for green innovation
As an investment promoter for Vestland county, Invest in Vestland will use the opportunity to showcase the strong maritime cluster in Western Norway, the region's pioneering role in green shipping projects, and the unique advantages Vestland offers to international investors and companies.

- Vestland has become a global hub for sustainable maritime innovation - a real testing ground for green shipping development. Through our participation in the conference, we want to connect with stakeholders who share our vision of a cleaner and greener future for shipping," says Tone Hartvedt from Invest in Vestland.
The event offers professional lectures, panel discussions and an exhibition arena with good opportunities for networking between shipping companies, technology suppliers, authorities and investors.
Among the topics that will be highlighted throughout the three days are the transition to dual-fuel, hybrid, electric and fuel cell-based propulsion systems, experiences from specific projects and case studies, as well as strategies to reduce emissions, increase energy efficiency and optimize operations.
