Maritime Cleantech's annual conference, Chasing Zero 2025, takes place this week. At Solstrand, some of the most influential voices shaping the future of green shipping will meet, both nationally and internationally.
Head hirers include key representatives from the government, the EU, the Armed Forces, shipping and finance. Former Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Euronext Oslo Børs CEO Øivind Amundsen and Andreas Enger from Höegh Autoliners are among those taking part.

The transition to zero emissions
Throughout the conference, participants will explore how the maritime industries can reinforce the transition to low and zero emission solutions. Collaboration, innovation and political leadership are highlighted as key drivers of this shift. The Maritime Cleantech Annual Conference has been established as an arena where policymakers, innovators and business leaders meet to exchange ideas and address solutions that will influence the next decades in the development of more sustainable shipping.
-"Chasing Zero shows which direction the industry is heading and how strong the commitment is," says Director of Market Development Håvard Tvedte. "Here we meet the players who are already delivering world-class low- and zero-emission solutions. This is a gathering that gives new momentum to our work on scaling green technologies and strengthens the international position of Norwegian maritime expertise.
West Norway's role in cleaner shipping
This year's edition focuses on market-ready technologies and the growing importance of the West Coast as an EU hub for cleaner shipping. During the conference, State Secretary Even T. Sagebakken will also present the award for Partner of the Year in Maritime Cleantech. The award is supported by Agenda Vestlandet.
With a mix of high-level dialogues, technology presentations and forward-looking discussions, Maritime Cleantech keeps up the tradition of setting the agenda for decarbonizing the global maritime sector.
