Throughout the day, divers will explore the seabed and retrieve marine debris such as plastic, fishing lines, and other trash. Everything that is recovered will be displayed on the pier, allowing the public to get a close look at the finds and see what is actually hidden beneath the surface.
We are also joined by marine biologists from the Norwegian Fisheries Museum, who will share their knowledge about marine life and how marine litter affects our coastline.
There will be two diving sessions during the day, at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and you are more than welcome to join us for one or both.
The event is open to everyone—young and old—whether you want to watch from shore, learn more about the ocean, or just have a nice chat.
We’ll provide coffee, waffles, and a great community spirit—and we hope you’ll join us for a day of hands-on environmental conservation.
We look forward to seeing you in Sandviken!
