Today, 80% of the marine litter in our northern waters comes from the fishing industry. How can we turn this around so that the fishing industry actually becomes the solution to the plastic problem?
Plastic-free seafood is an approach to the plastic problem that leverages the industry’s technology and resources to reduce marine litter. At the same time, the industry’s costs related to waste management and recycling can be significantly reduced. The result is a stronger economy, a stronger reputation, and a significant environmental impact.
In the presentation, we also discuss how this helps the industry comply with current and future environmental requirements.
