The literary boat Epos is docked at Bryggen, inviting visitors to enjoy books, coffee, the bar, and socializing.
The M/S Epos was built at Omastrand in Hardanger in 1963 and has since been used as a book boat and tourist boat in Western Norway. When it was new, the Epos was one of the world’s largest aluminum boats. Today, the boat is owned and operated by the Litteraturbåten Epos Foundation and serves as a cultural venue and traveling literary center.
