Join us for the launch of brand-new insights that reveal new export opportunities for Norway.

The Norwegian maritime industry is by far the largest export sector in Norway after oil and gas, driven largely by suppliers of equipment and technology. Few of Norway’s major established industries are already world-class while simultaneously offering significant growth potential. In DNB’s report on future competitiveness, exports of climate technology from the maritime industry are highlighted as one of the major opportunities for Norway.

In 2025, maritime suppliers of technology, equipment, and design exported a total of 164 billion kroner. How much of this was accounted for by exports of climate technology? And what does the global market for climate technology in shipping look like?

On behalf of Innovation Norway, Maritime CleanTech has mapped Norwegian exports of climate technology from the maritime industry and estimated the global market for maritime climate technology in collaboration with Menon Economics.

This is the very first time this has been done, and the results are very interesting. How will this affect the government’s work on a new maritime strategy?

You'll hear from, among others:

  • Håkon Haugli, CEO of Innovation Norway
  • Håvard Tvedte, Acting CEO of Maritime CleanTech
  • Erik Jakobsen, Partner at Menon Economics
  • Experiences from leading companies in the maritime industry

Location: The cafeteria at Media City Bergen
