The Sustainability Debate 2026 raises local issues related to sustainability and nature loss to the national level, and this year's theme is salmon farming.

We are organizing the Sustainability Debate at the Taremare Sea and Sustainability Center at the Coastal Museum in Øygarden for the fourth time this year.
The Sustainability Debate addresses local issues related to sustainability and nature loss, and raises them to
the national and international level. Every year, we have had more and more members of parliament
and environmental and nature conservation organizations on the panel. The debate starts at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until 9:00 p.m., and the debate leader is Harald Victor Hove from First House.

In addition to the debate, Øygarden
Future Club will host short presentations related to the topic prior to the debate, and we hope to serve food from
the coast. There will also be a screening of the documentary Lakselandet. This event starts at 4:00 p.m. and lasts until 6:00 p.m.

Tickets for the event will be available at the beginning of March on the website of the Coastal Museum in Øygarden.
