ONE OCEAN WEEK EVENT: CRISPR gene-editing at Sea: Trust, Transparency and Transformation

An engaging One Ocean Week session bringing together cutting‑edge biotechnology from the Institute of Marine Research —the birthplace of the world’s first gene‑edited Atlantic salmon— and biotech partners from AquaTech Center in California, from new societal insights from the Norwegian Biotechnology Council and the University of Stavanger, and a global investor outlook from Cuna del Mar, one of the largest ocean‑impact investors. Together, these perspectives illuminate how trust, transparency, and transformation are shaping the CRISPR revolution at sea.
